Sharing Web Resources: UNICEF

The UNICEF organization does a lot of work around the world with children and their families. I have found a lot of new information on the UNICEF website. I found out about more of their partnerships with other organizations to help children get access to quality education. One of the organizations I found was the Center for Education Innovations. This organization works with UNICEF and other organizations to help give more access to education for people living in poverty. They work to improve the educational and health experiences for the children.
I also learned more about the topics for this week through exploring these websites. They offer information on access to education and the challenges that are faced. In many families they may not be able to afford a good early learning experience and organizations like UNICEF and the Center for Education Innovations offer more services and assistance to these families. It is very important for children to receive quality education beginning at a young age because their little minds are developing so fast and need to be filled with knowledge.
The information provided on these websites reminds me of the importance of working to prepare children for their future. I was reminded of how important it is for people to work together to help benefit the children. It is very hard to see so many children go lacking the necessary health and education that is essential for their growth. I think that programs like UNICEF and Center for Education Innovations bring hope to children and their families for a brighter future.

  1. Hi Jen,
Thanks so much for sharing about this wonderful and very resourceful organization. Kim also selected the UNICEF website and also spoke of the partnerships with other organizations. Through these partnerships I learned about organizations that I had never heard of like the Center for Education Innovations.

  2. Jennifer,
I too agree the long standing work of UNICEF dates back many years. I remember as a teen my friends and I completed a service project to assist children from
Families struggling with iodine deficiency disorder. It was through their trick or treat for Unicef fundraiser activity with the orange boxes. I remember feeling a sense of pride in doing something for someone else.

  3. Jennifer,
I totally agree that it is important for people to work together to help the children. I have noticed that most organizations collaborate with one another to do these works. I guess it becomes a lot easier to reach as many people that need help when people and organizations work together.
    Thank you for sharing.
